How Kanye West ‘Whoop-De-Di-Scoop-Di-Poop’ His Way To King Troll

And the Master Troll Award goes to *drum roll*, Kanye West!
Kanye West caught us all off guard when he re-appeared on twitter two weeks ago. What seemed like a therapy session about finding one’s true happiness, love, creating art, free thinking and releasing new music, turned into madness! In true Kanye fashion, he insisted on taking us far right. For example, in a series of tweets Kanye aligns himself with the oh so problematic U.S. President donald trump, “You don’t have to agree with trump, but the mob can’t make me not love him.”, Kanye then went on to say, “We are both dragon energy. He is my brother. I love everyone.” Like donnie, Kanye’s tweets strike a chord with everyone and caused the entire Hip-Hop community to react in disbelief.
The bizarre behavior continued on Wednesday(April 24th), Kanye made a mysterious phone call into New York’s Hot 97 radio station. Throughout the short phone call Ye insisted on telling radio personality and host Ebro that he loved him and nothing more, watch the video here. In addition to the love fest, Kanye followed up on Friday(April 27th) by tweeting, “I’m going to drop a song with a verse that will bring Ebro the closure he’s been seeking….The bars. It’s called Lift Yourself”.
Kanye released his new record “Lift Yourself” on and man I laughed so hard! Lift Yourself is a funky, soulful tune with heavy drums. If my ears are correct I hear a sample of the 70’s group, Amnesty “Free Your Mind”. The female vocals are done by an unnamed vocalist and go, “We need to strive for liberty, lift yourself up on your feet” and then boom here comes Kanye, “Boopity-Scoop-Scoop-De-Di-Whoop-Whoop-De-Di-Scoop-Poop” and leaves us all perplexed.
In any event, Lift Yourself  is equivalent to the viral hit Scooby Doo Pa Pa by New York artist DJ Kass. A record of nothingness and humor. Once again Kanye West wins. He has proven that he is the head Troll in charge and we’ve fallen for it per usual. In the mean time, I’ll sit back and stay tuned for the release of his album on June 7th, maybe we’ll finally get these bars.
