Oprah Winfrey’s star power and influence didn’t stand a chance against Michael Jackson’s legacy. The media mogul’s decision to host the special “After Neverland” following the two-part HBO documentary “Leaving Neverland” had fans in an uproar. Here’s what else you need to know to get you up to speed.
1. “Leaving Neverland”
Directed by Dan Reed, part two of the HBO documentary on Michael Jackson, “Leaving Neverland”, aired last night. Part one aired Sunday evening and focused on Robson and Safechuck, who accused Jackson of sexually abusing them when they were children. Part two focuses on the 2005 trial and why they choose to come forward now. The controversy surrounding the documentary is massive, many calling it a money grab. The Jackson estate has aggressively fought against the airing of the doc, filing a $100 million dollar lawsuit against HBO.
2. Reginae Carter vs. Kodak Black
Now ya’ll know Reginae Carter don’t play about her daddy, Hip-Hop legend Lil Wayne. Yesterday a video surfaced of rapper Kodak Black at Club Liv in Miami yelling over the microphone to the DJ to cut off the Wayne song that was playing, “Aye where Lil Wayne at? He should’ve died when he was a baby”. Reginae wasn’t here for that and respond in an Instagram post saying, “You new lil rappers need to start giving props and respect the Goat. My father don’t bother nobody.” she went on to say, “This n***a whole album sound like my daddy old s**t. Gtfoh.” Kodak responded in an IG live video posted on theshaderoom saying that, “Me and dude got a whole song together…aint nobody say nothin’ about yo’ daddy.” My suggestion is man people just leave Wayne alone because Reginae wants all of the smoke.

5. Meek Mill
Welp, it looks like Meek Mill might want that old thing back- let the internet tell it. In a snippet on Houston Rockets star James Harden’s IG story, we see the baller rapping along to an unreleased Meek record and it has many speculating that the record is about his ex and fellow rapper Nicki Minaj, “Every time you post this n***a I wanna smoke this n***a, we just broke up last year how you know this n***a, what you was cheatin’ on me? you was creepin’ on me?”. Meek sent out a tweet shortly after theshaderoom posted the video silencing the hype, “Stop the bap I’m like on my 6 girl in the last 2 years let me live”. Okay Meek we hear you, now release the full record, I’m tryna see something real quick.
